We want to alert consumers that some companies are pitching a Replacement Unit option (i.e., buying a new unit when your unit's water media is spent) in an attempt to lure unsuspecting consumers into buying the company's high profit margin item, thinking that they will save time and effort over the long-run.  Unfortunately, when it actually comes time to replace the media inside the unit the consumer may be unecessarily paying for a new unit and even end up with an old unit that the manufacturer has refurbished. Moreover, if the consumer decides to pay for a replacement unit, rather than replentishing the media, the overall cost may end up costing double the cost of having a professional replenish the unit with Replacement Media.
 
It is important to know that the unit is designed to facilitate the process of emptying the tank, tank cleaning and disinfection, and pouring or layering of media.  In fact, there are several potential benefits to repalcing the media:
  1) The cost of replenishing the tank with Repalcement Media is far below that of purchasing a new unit.
  2) Installation is still required when the new unit arrives and needs to be done by a water treatment professional to ensure proper water quality and for warranties to be valid.
  3) Many of the "New" tanks companies send out are actually the used tanks they recieve back from existing customers. They just refurbish the tanks by sanitizing the inside and filling with replacement media. They call the "New" tank a "replacement" tank and it is sold for a slight discount when compared to a new system purchase.
4) The City Water is manufactured to the highest standards and when maintained propely, it will give you a lifetime of pure water enjoyment.
 
  
It is also interesting to consider that the cost of the initial complete system.  One may wonder about the questionable value of the replaement tank itself given that the cost of the Replacement Media is less than half the price (i.e., between $375 to $425) of the cost of the initial complete system.  We are proud to say that the media that goes into our Pure Water Whole House City Water represents the best quality and value to the coustomer .
 
Therefore, we do not recommend the Replacement Tank approach.  Instead, we provide our existing customers with a cost effective Replament Media Service that can quickly and easily replace their old meida for less than half the price of the cost of a "new" tank   The best aspect of our Replacement Media approach is that the home-owner can be assured that the professional installer will be onsite to check thier water quality to make sure that their unit is working properly.
